Additions: (apply to all categories)
A. The entry committee reserves the right to exempt additional players.
B. Anyone not in the top 35 of the listed entrance criteria can still gain entry through one of two 18 hole qualifiers( the first on Saturday, 4/28/07 and the second on Wednesday, 5/16/07 ), with each player being allowed only one qualifying attempt. There will be one spot guaranteed per 14 players, so the # of spots will be determined by the # of players in each qualifier, which will be filled on a first come, first served basis.

Example: First, there must be a determination of how many spots will be filled with qualifiers. The SRM guarantees 1 spot for every 14 players attempting to qualify (3 - 4 spots in a typical year). In this example it will be assumed there are 4 players earning spots through the qualifiers, but the actual determination can’t be made by the entry committee until all applications are received and the qualifier fields set.

If 33 players apply from the first 6 categories, all of those applicants will be accepted(this includes any special exemptions granted by the entry committee). If 8 other players have applied from category 7, then the first 2 of those will be accepted (based on the order of the criteria) to reach the 39 total (this includes the 4 spots being held for the qualifiers). The 5 other players in category 7 not accepted (as well as any from categories 8 and 9) will be ordered by the committee as alternates until the qualifiers have been played, at which point the alternates will be designated from the qualifying results. Thus the remaining applicants in category 7(plus those in 8 and 9) can only then earn entry through the qualifiers. The field size may be reduced if the number of applicants from the nine categories is less than 39. If that is the case, the entry committee reserves the right to fill out the field with players not meeting any of the entrance criteria, and will base selections on a review of player applications.

Note: The SRM entry committee reserves the right to review the exemption criteria yearly and make changes as necessary. All entry committee decisions are final.

Girls 14 and Under Acceptance Guidelines

This year’s 2007 field will consist of up to twelve girls in the 14 & under age division. If the entry committee is required to choose due to an excess of twelve applicants, acceptance will be based on the following criteria:

1. National multi-day tournament performance.
2. Golfweek or NJGS ranking.
3. Scoring ability on challenging courses.
4. Improvement throughout the previous year.
5. Past performance in the SRM.
6. Regional/local multi-day tournament performance.

Using this criteria, the entry committee will choose what they consider the 9 strongest applicants. Up to 3 more local/regional applicants will then be chosen to complete the field with twelve participants.

The entry committee may consider playing an 18 hole qualifier on Saturday, April 28, if there are an inordinately large # of applicants. Please contact us or check our website periodically for updates.

Note: The SRM entry committee reserves the right to review the exemption criteria yearly and make changes as necessary. All entry committee decisions are final.

Please see our refund policies for further information.

Qualifying Information

In the event that an applicant does not meet any of the entrance criteria (listed on our website) or the applicant's entrance criteria category does not make the field due to the large number of applicants, they will be offered the opportunity to try and qualify into the tournament field. If you would like to participate in the qualifier, fill out the tournament application and indicate on the application that you will attempt to qualify.

There will be two qualifying round opportunities. The first qualifier will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2007. The second qualifying round will be held on Wednesday May 16, 2007. These fields will be filled on a first come first serve basis. All applicants will be informed by US Mail around the first of April about how to submit a choice for the qualifiers.

Should there be an interest and a suitable number of applicants for the boys or girls 14 and under division, the Entries Committee may consider a qualifier for these divisions on April 28, 2007 only. The Scott Robertson Memorial Entry Committee guarantees 1 spot for every 14 qualifiers in the boys/girls 15-18 division.

If a player is not accepted, and declares on their application that they will not attempt to qualify, their full entry fee will be returned. If an applicant participates in the qualifier and fails to qualify an $100 refund will be returned to the player, half of the original entry fee.
