How you can help

The Scott Robertson Memorial needs
your help supporting Junior golf

The Scott Robertson Memorial Junior Golf Tournament, current planning the 27th annual tournament in May 2010, has a national reputation for not only the quality of players it draws, but for the warm reception the players and guests receive from the Roanoke Valley, from our host Roanoke Country Club, RCC members, and in particular, from hundreds of volunteers who help make the tournament run flawlessly.

The Scott Robertson Memorial  also supports junior golf in the Roanoke Valley, in particular in our affiliation with  First Tee Roanoke Valley.  The proceeds from the tournament help our First Tee partner offer quality programs year round, not only from programs  held at the Scott Robertson Memorial Junior Golf Academy, home of First Tee Roanoke Valley,  but also with unique partnerships in the community.  These partnerships include the Boy’s and Girl’s Club, the Roanoke City, Roanoke County, and Salem City School Systems, The YWCA Magic Place, just to name a few.

You can help introduce golf and its valuable life lessons to young people in the Roanoke Valley, who might not otherwise have a chance to play this great game, in two ways:   First, join me as a Patron ($500.00 donation) or Sponsor ($200.00 donation) to support the Scott Robertson Memorial and junior golf in the Roanoke Valley.   Or, any amount is greatly appreciated.  Thank you.  Please email us at srm@scottrobertson.com or call me personally at 540-588-2985 for additional information.  The Scott Robertson Memorial Fund is a 501c3 not-for-profit organization and contributions are tax-deductible.  An additional link is provided with a donation form.

If you can’t help financially, consider volunteering during the tournament May 14-16th, 2010.  Email us at srm@scottrobertson.com and someone will contact you about volunteering.  You will enjoy the experience, see some future golf stars, and feel good knowing you helped young people in the Roanoke Valley enjoy  a unique experience.

On behalf of the entire Scott Roberson Memorial Committee, thank you.

Sincerely,

Colston Clarke- Chair
